“I feel a great sense of satisfaction when taking part in organising charity fundraising events,
like my assistance helps achieve something wonderful for a needy cause.
Then I think of how the funds raised will be put to use and it makes me
look forward to helping again. Sometimes only a little bit of personal
time is required, sometimes much more, but I believe every little bit
helps."

"I
didn’t know it was possible to have so much fun, satisfaction and
fulfilment in just the small part I played in helping with the charity
ball last year. I fully acknowledge the whole team for a great job, a
fabulous event, and the difference their efforts made to the lives of
sick children that benefited from the funds raised at the event.
Michelle, Denise and Phil are inspirational. Their passion and vision
to provide a smile to the faces of families of sick children is
first-rate. I’ll be participating again this year for sure."
Paula Cotter, Zig Zag Foundation Volunteer
"I first heard about the Foundation when they called for volunteers to help
prepare for the Ball last year.
As a stranger joining the group of volunteers I found myself surrounded
by the friendliest, most dedicated and hard working group you would ever want to
meet. It was obvious that an enormous amount of effort had been undertaken
throughout the year. Spending a morning preparing and wrapping gifts, working
at the Ball, seeing the results of all the Committees hard work and being able
to be a small part of it was such a joy. Having so much fun and assisting the
Charity at the same time certainly makes it worthwhile. I am looking forward
to helping out in some capacity this year, it is such a privilege to think that
I can help this wonderful group of people achieve their goal of helping all
those children."
Rosslyn Watts, Zig Zag Foundation Volunteer
"It is a pleasure to be personally associated with the Zig Zag Team in my
capacity as a as volunteer. It never ceases to amaze me how from a single thought about making a
difference in the world that something truly extraordinary got created. Zig
Zag has impacted positively on some many lives since its inception not that long
ago.
By someone sharing the dream about what they would like to achieve, Zig Zag
became a reality and the concept grew bigger and gained more momentum and
support as like-minded people and volunteers became involved.
I love assisting with the BMW Zig Zag Ball and will be assisting each and
every year. I had absolutely no idea how much effort and organisation is
required in getting the ballroom ready for such a large event. I was both
exhausted and exhilarated at being able to be personally involved in such
an important event. This event is the major fund raiser for the year as well as
being a spectacular evening on the Brisbane social calendar.
The real contribution to important initiatives and the string of
achievements attributed to Zig Zag makes me feel proud to be involved with such
a caring group of people.
The Zig Zag team live by their word and truly make a difference to the
lives of at-risk children."
Angela Taylor, Zig Zag Foundation Volunteer
"Being a volunteer with the Zig Zag Foundation allows me to give back a little to
a very busy, but dedicated group of people, who give up so much of their time to
run this Foundation. It is a very worthy cause and being just a small part of it
is worth every minute."
Rosanne Bray-White, Zig Zag Foundation Volunteer
Just
wanted to let you know how much fun we had at last year’s Zig Zag Ball. Cannot
wait to catch up with all the volunteers this year. If anyone wants any
information on being a volunteer for this great fund raising organisation I am
happy for them to call me.
I
am very happy to say that all the volunteers are very professional and
friendly. See you in May.
