Amanda McCallum
Zig Zag Ambassador
Color Bar - Chermside / Robina / Tweed Heads
Amanda McCallum as supported Zig Zag along side her son Straalen McCallum since 2007, they have been extremely supportive since the Zig Zag Foundation was founded. We are lucky to have such an amazing team on board with both Amanda and Straalen - we welcome you as Ambassadors to the Zig Zag Foundation.
Why do you support Zig Zag?
"I’m a working mother with 3 growing boys, and I’ve been fortunate enough (touch wood!) to not have had to experience any of the heartache and loss of other not-so-lucky parents. I have supported many charities in the past, but in the last 3 years I made a decision to support just one wholly. You see, the way I look at it is that I can divvy up my support to assist many charities piece-meal, or support one particular charity significantly. I chose to do the latter, and help Zig Zag make an even bigger difference! And to be honest, by totally supporting just Zig Zag I save myself the worry of having to pick and choose, or feel I haven’t given enough to this one or that one. Zig Zag covers all the areas I believe are significant!
And I chose Zig Zag not just because ALL the money they raise goes straight back to helping sick and under-privileged kids (Zig Zag is TRULY voluntary, unlike many other charities), but probably more because of the passion these incredibly generous Zig Zag volunteers have in really making a difference for children. It is a wonderful charity with the right vision and the right people! But… We could always do with some more!
I would encourage anyone with a desire to ‘give back’ in any way to support Zig Zag. I have no doubt you will find, as I have, that it’s just the right thing to do!" - Amanda McCallum
